Khao Thoam Hua Ngoak
Steamed glutinous rice in banana leaf with young coconut meat

Ingredients
          Glutinous rice grain                        3 cups
          Ripe banana                                 3 fruits
          Black bean                                  1 cup
          Shredded young coconut meat         2 cups
          Sugar                                         ½ cup
          Salt                                           ½ tea spoon
          Banana leaves and thin bamboo-stripesfor wrapping 
Preparation
1.       Clean the banana leaves 2 times with dry cloth
2.       Tear the leaves 6 x 8 inch
3.       Fold it, and trim the corners
4.       Use two layers of the leave, then put ripe banana at the center
5.       Put rice grain about 1 cup over the banana
6.       Add the black bean on the rice
7.       Then wrap the mixture. (Please see the demonstration video)
8.       Use the thin bamboo-stripes to tight the wrap
9.       Boil the wraps. Please make sure that they are submerged. Boil until cook for 2-3 hours.
10.   Slice the cooked glutinous rice in chunky bite size
11.   Add sugar, and shredded young coconut flesh , and a little salt. Then mix them together.
12.   Serve as a dessert or it is good for a break between meals.
Tips
          While wrapping please do not break the leave. After it cooked, it should be removed right away from hot water, otherwise it will become soggy.

Benefit
          Glutinous rice gives us Carbohydrate. Black bean has high flavonoid and Anthocyanin (color pigment), which has antioxidant property.  It helps to clean and push out toxin from our body.
